May Meeting
Our speaker during our May meeting was Mike Kachilla. Mike was born and raised in Cumberland, OH. He graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1973. He attended Ohio State University from 1973 to 1977 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corp in June 1977. He served in and retired from the Marine Corp after 20 Years in July of 1997 and returned to Cambridge.
He founded the Andrew Kachilla Center for Arts in 1994 and returned to work fulltime at the center in 1997. He has served as President of the Board of Directors from 1994 to present. Mike has actively participated and served on many Board of Directors and committees. He has been actively involved in the Guernsey County Community for many years. He assumed his current position as President of the Area Chamber of Commerce in July 2002.
With a wealth of experience and knowledge Mike presented the first part of a two part series, Understanding Generational Differences. He explained how for the first time in history there are 4 generations in the Work Place. He showed us Generation Examples and talked bout the biggest problems we face in the workplace. We’ll continue this topic during our July 19th meeting.
