Creating programs that assist in identifying, attracting, and building a workforce that meets the needs of your organization

Information will be shared on United’s college recruiting and internship programs that attract candidates from a variety of colleges and universities and build a talent pipeline and prioritize these individuals for internal openings.   Information will also be provided on the Leadership Development Program which provides an opportunity for the company’s rising talent to strengthen their leadership and communication skills, increase their visibility with the organization and establish internal networks, helping to cultivate a future pipeline of leaders across the institution.  Past members now hold key positions across the Company ranging from Department Managers to Line of business Leaders to Executive Officers.

Ami Shaver currently serves as EVP, Head of Human Resources at United Bank and Erin Folwer, VP Director of Talent Selection & Recruitment at United Bank.

Ami works to reinforce and improve the culture of the organization through pay and benefits, performance management, training, and development, recruiting and onboarding, and to reinforce the values of the Company. Having worked for United Brokerage Services, Inc. in all capacities from 1997 to 2020.  Since 2005, Ami has served as the Director of Retail Sales and Service and is responsible for the retail initiatives in United Bank’s branch locations, and more recently, assumed leadership for United Bank’s Customer Care Centers. She has served as a member of the WV Bankers Association’s School of Banking Board of Trustees, Graduate School of Banking-LSU Board of Trustees and is currently serving on the Board of Governors for the West Virginia University of Parkersburg. Ami began her career with United in 1995 and currently resides in Vienna, WV with her husband while her two children attend West Virginia University in Morgantown. 

Erin provides vision, leadership, and project coordination for the Recruiting team who works to recruit, develop, and retain top talent across the Company. In addition to traditional recruitment, the Recruiting team heads up an exceptional College Recruiting Program and a robust formal internship program that runs in 3 separate locations each year.  Erin serves as an Advisor to the Leadership Development Program where her role is to guide the future leaders of the Company.  Erin began her career with United in 2006 and has experience working in Retail Sales and Service and Mortgage Lending, prior to her 9 years of experience in Human Resources.  She received her SHRM-CP certification in 2019.  Erin currently resides in Morgantown, WV with her husband and her two children.
